These products are from Hill Tribe Promotion Center supported by the King of Thailand, Thai Tribal Crafts (a non-profit organization helping tribal villagers in Thailand) and from villagers in remote villages that I came in contact with during my humanitarian missions.

(Tambon – cluster of villages): Initiated by the Thai government, this program was launched in 2001 to promote products made by local artisans. The program helps generate more income for the villagers. Each product is uniquely crafted and handmade with skill and creativity and designed unique to their localities. The Thai government currently helps in providing advice on production methods, quality control, packaging and designs to make them even more attractive to the export market.

These products are created through different non-profit organizations set up to help the victims coping with tragedy. After my extensive involvement with the Tsunami Relief Effort, I came to appreciate these beautiful products. Working on the products serves as a healing process for the victims to cope with the tragedy and earn a living at the same time.
